Northglenn is located in Adams County in the state of Colorado. It is approximately 1 mile northwest of Thornton and about 10 miles north of the state capital, Denver. Spread across 7.5 square miles of area, the city of Northglenn comes under the Denver metropolitan area. It has an estimated population of about 34,556 according to the July 2009 census.
